About
This is the development blog of floe.tv.
Mostly we’ll just blog about the adventures of building a niche product on the open seas of the emerging web, wherever that takes us. This includes:
- development updates
- random coding thoughts
- views on current developments of the tech we are using
- dumb inside jokes probably only funny to us
- beta announcements
- gripes. lots of gripes
- a sounding board for users
- lots of self deprecating humour
Part of floe.tv is about exploring open linked data and integration into the emerging web data ecosystem. Some topics we will touch on are open linked data in the context of the greater “Graph” of web data. We started with The ‘Net, then we got The Web, and now we are hurdling towards The Graph.
The title of the blog is from the Dire Straits song “Money for Nothing”, where the lead singer sings about having to move merchandise (or ads in our case) to make a living. With our project “floe.tv”, we’re pretty much in the same boat with having to move ads while trying to keep some sort of “artistic integrity” (is that possible?).
The floe.tv team is:

Josh “The Hammer” Lewis - ?
